This is more of a hobby than a talent me thinks, enjoying my baby steps into the world of photography, I’m no Ansel Adams, David Bailey or Rankin, but now I know enough to appreciate the eye these guys have. Capturing an image is a spellbinding experience when you get it right, highlights, shadows, depth of field, when it comes together it’s an amazing buzz. Of course the beauty of digital is that it's immediate, (I know old school waiting for developing has its place but when you’re maintaining your amateur status like me digital is your friend). The product photography thing is seriously cool, lighting and reflecting light becomes your main objective, I’ve started looking at things so analytically through the lens, is the label clear, where are my shadows, have I got perfect highlights, all the things I used to Photoshop in I now try to achieve in the click. That said, I will always be a Photoshop fiend as you can see.
